School Visits
- Interactive Author Presentation: Tamera spends up to 60 minutes with students talking about her path to publishing, reading her poetry with students, and answering student questions. If space and AV equipment are available (mic/sound system plus projector and screen), Tamera is comfortable addressing an entire student body.
- Writing Workshops: Tamera’s writing workshops can be tailored to each audience and can range from Pre-K through adult learners. The workshop focus can include any element of poetry reading or writing, fiction reading or writing, the verse novel format, or drawing from nature or personal experience to create stories. School workshops are most effective with smaller groups of 30 or less and can flex up in numbers if instructors remain available to help with writing exercises.
Public Speaking
Tamera has spoken and presented to students, librarians, teachers, and fellow authors at conferences, festivals, award ceremonies, and at her alma mater – Hamline University. Since each engagement is unique, Tamera tailors each message to the needs of the audience.
